For a few years I had been designing and printing a dozen or so cards each St. Patrick's Day to send to family, often highlighting my discoveries about my family's Irish heritage. But in 2014 I decided to design a card for a broader audience. I designed a square card with a geometric illustration of a shamrock and patterns along the card's edges. nitially I hoped to print gold foil on green card stock, however, after some difficulty in sourcing an appropriately green stock, I worked with the printers at HD Design to find a solution. We opted for a cream-coloured paper with a double-hit of green to get a rich but even colour. I printed 150 for family, friends, and colleagues.
